Nestle India tumbles despite reporting 11% rise in Q2

Nestle India is currently trading at Rs. 16607.75, down by 491.20 points or 2.87% from its previous closing of Rs. 17098.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 17099.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 17188.95 and Rs. 16575.00 respectively. So far 11327 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 18301.00 on 17-Apr-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 11299.95 on 02-Aug-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 17447.35 and Rs. 16975.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 160337.41 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 62.76%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 20.81% and 16.36% respectively.

Nestle India has reported 11.15% rise in its net profit of Rs 486.60 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2020 as against Rs 437.79 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased 0.49% at Rs 3088.41 crore for June quarter as compared Rs 3073.44 crore for the corresponding quarter of previous year.
