IT stocks decline as Trump signs order to restrict H-1B visa use

Shares of companies related to IT sector edged lower after the US President Donald Trump signed an executive order restricting federal agencies from contracting or subcontracting foreign workers, hurting Indian IT professionals who work in the US on the H-1B visa.

Tata Consultancy Services is currently trading at Rs. 2249.65, down by 1.65 points or 0.07% from its previous closing of Rs. 2251.30 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 2260.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2269.30 and Rs. 2226.00 respectively.

Infosys is currently trading at Rs. 948.00, down by 9.35 points or 0.98% from its previous closing of Rs. 957.35 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 959.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 970.00 and Rs. 941.05 respectively.

Wipro is currently trading at Rs. 279.60, down by 1.70 points or 0.60% from its previous closing of Rs. 281.30 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 282.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 283.40 and Rs. 278.25 respectively.
