Petronet LNG trades in jubilant mood on the bourses

Petronet LNG is currently trading at Rs. 166.85, up by 3.65 points or 2.24% from its previous closing of Rs. 163.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 161.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 168.20 and Rs. 160.25 respectively. So far 138832 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 180.95 on 28-Jul-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 101.70 on 19-Aug-2010.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 172.35 and Rs. 160.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 12240.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.00% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 21.56% and 28.44% respectively.

Petronet LNG reported results for its first quarter ended June 30, 2011

The company’s net profit for the quarter has zoomed by 130.50% at Rs 256.71 crore as compared to Rs 111.37 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010. Its total income has surged by 76.06% to Rs 4623.30 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 2625.97 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Petronet LNG is one of the leading players in oil and natural gas industry space. It has India’s first and largest LNG supply terminal located at Dahej.
