Liquor stocks jump as government relaxes ban on serving liquor at pubs

Breweries & Distilleries were trading higher after the government, in ‘Unlock 4.0’ guidelines, relaxed the ban on serving liquor at pubs. The guidelines and standard operating procedures (SoPs) in this regard, however, are to be issued by the states.

United Breweries is currently trading at Rs. 1131.75, up by 46.70 points or 4.30% from its previous closing of Rs. 1085.05 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 1077.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1151.50 and Rs. 1077.00 respectively.

United Spirits is currently trading at Rs. 579.15, up by 9.70 points or 1.70% from its previous closing of Rs. 569.45 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 574.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 588.85 and Rs. 570.55 respectively.

Radico Khaitan is currently trading at Rs. 408.70, up by 5.95 points or 1.48% from its previous closing of Rs. 402.75 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 403.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 409.80 and Rs. 403.00 respectively.
