Syngene International zooms on getting ICMR’s nod for COVID-19 antibody test kit ‘ELISafe 19’

Syngene International is currently trading at Rs. 473.40, up by 19.65 points or 4.33% from its previous closing of Rs. 453.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 469.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 494.15 and Rs. 464.70 respectively. So far 54437 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 522.00 on 26-Aug-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 201.65 on 23-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 494.15 and Rs. 443.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 19000.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 70.65%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 22.73% and 6.63% respectively.

Syngene International and HiMedia Laboratories have received Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) approval for HiMedia-Syngene COVID-19 antibody test kit, ELISafe 19. The ELISafe 19 antibody test kit has a sensitivity of 100% and specificity of 99%. Earlier, the company had entered into collaboration with HiMedia Laboratories to manufacture and distribute its ELISA kits.

Syngene International is India’s largest Contract Research Services Organization providing integrated discovery and development services for novel molecules across multiple platforms including small molecules, large molecules, Antibody-Drug Conjugates and Oligonucleotides.
