National Fertilizers, Coal India and Yes Bank to see some action today

National Fertilizers (NFL) has recorded the total fertilizer sale of 23,81 lakh MT in April-August, 2020 showing a growth of 16% compared to previous best of 20.57 lakh MT recorded during the same period in 2019-20. On the production front too, the company has surpassed the production target by producing 16,11 lakh MT Urea in the first five months of 2020-21, higher by 13% as compared to 14.26 lakh MT produced during the same period in 2019-20.

Coal India (CIL) is planning to restore production from its discontinued underground mines and has identified 12 such blocks with provisional mineable reserves of around 1,060 million tonnes. The move is seen as part of efforts by the PSU coal major to meet its overall production target of one billion tonnes in the next four years. Of the said blocks, eight belong to Eastern Coalfields (ECL) and the remaining four fall under Bharat Coking Coal (BCCL), spread over the states of West Bengal and Jharkhand.

Yes Bank has fully repaid the Rs 50,000 crore provided by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) as a special liquidity facility (SLF) amid the crisis faced by the lender earlier this year. ITI is expecting to sign a telecom network contract worth Rs 7,796 crore with the Defence Ministry soon. Infosys is planning to hire 500 additional tech workers in Rhode Island, US by 2023. These 500 new employees are part of Infosys' broader workforce commitment and its recent announcement to hire 12,000 additional workers in the country, bringing its total commitment to 25,000 roles.
