Steel Authority Of India is currently trading at Rs. 34.10, down by 1.40 points or 3.94% from its previous closing of Rs. 35.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 35.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 36.20 and Rs. 33.90 respectively. So far 2147531 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 51.85 on 17-Jan-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 20.15 on 30-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 39.50 and Rs. 33.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 14085.09 crore.

Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), a unit of Steel Authority of India (SAIL), has exported more than 34,000 tonne of plates to Asian and European countries since July this year. The unit is ready with additional 1,000 tonne of steel plates for export in the current month. Besides, the RSP has bagged an order for exporting 10,000 tonne of plates to the European market.

SAIL is India’s largest steel producing company. The company is among the five Maharatnas of the country’s Central Public Sector Enterprises. The company has five integrated steel plants, three special plants, and one subsidiary in different parts of the country.
