Deccan Gold Mines’ subsidiary granted with prospecting license for gold

12 Oct 2012 Evaluate

Deccan Gold Mines’ wholly owned subsidiary, Deccan Exploration Services (DESPL), has been granted a prospecting license for gold over an area of 4 square Kilometers in the Mangalagatti Block located in the Dharwar District of Karnataka. However, the prospecting license deed would be executed with the State Government of Karnataka after the completion of the procedural formalities.

The Mangalagatti PL Block forms part of Dharwar-Shimoga of Archaean Western Dharwar Craton in the State of Karnataka. The PL block located 12 kms north of Dharwar City and is part of the “Dharwar Cluster” of gold bearing Sulphidic Chert bands discovered by DESPL.

DGML has been actively engaged in the exploration for gold in some of the most promising gold mineralized blocks in India. It has been successful in identifying several smaller potential gold-bearing zones within these blocks, worthy of detailed investigation.
