ONGC trades higher on the bourses

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation is currently trading at Rs. 68.60, up by 2.20 points or 3.31% from its previous closing of Rs. 66.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 68.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 69.25 and Rs. 66.15 respectively. So far 780224 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 149.65 on 04-Nov-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 51.80 on 13-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 74.80 and Rs. 65.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 86174.91 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 60.41%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.47% and 14.13% respectively.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation’s (ONGC) Hazira Gas Processing Plant fire has been extinguished. All efforts are being made to resume normal operations in the plant at the earliest. The fire was observed due to leakage of gas from a gas pipeline. On the first signs of gas leak and fire, Emergency Shutdown actuators were immediately activated and Plant was shut down.

ONGC is India’s largest government-run corporation and produces about 70% of India’s crude oil and natural gas. The corporation is the biggest public sector commercial organization in India.
