Copper futures ended marginally higher on Tuesday even after US President Donald Trump said he is ending negotiations over Covid-19 relief bill until after election. Further, worries about possible mine disruptions in top copper producer Chile supported copper prices. Though, concerns over surging corona virus cases across the globe and a jump in metal inventories capped some gains.
Copper futures for December delivery gained $0.0005 to settle at $2.9635 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 0.02% at $6,530 a ton.
