LIC Housing Finance has disbursed Rs 2,115 crore worth of subsidies to its customers under the credit-linked subsidy scheme (CLSS) as part of PM Awas Yojana since its inception in 2017. Under this scheme, the company has disbursed more than Rs 12,000 crore of affordable housing loans to 1,01,521 borrowers till September-end. Total loan disbursed under this scheme is over Rs 12,000 crore, making the company second largest lender under this scheme.
LIC Housing Finance is one of the largest Housing Finance Company in India. The main objective of the company is providing long term finance to individuals for purchase or construction of house or flat for residential purpose / repair and renovation of existing flat / houses.
