Copper futures ended lower on Monday as the dollar strengthened against its peers, despite expectations that the US government would provide additional economic stimulus. Further, concerns over surging corona virus pandemic cases across the globe too weighed on copper prices’ uptrend.
Copper futures for December delivery lost $0.0185 to settle at $3.0640 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was down 0.38% at $6,737.50 a ton.
