Gold futures finish higher on weaker dollar

15 Oct 2020 Evaluate
Gold futures finished higher on Wednesday as the ambiguity in US fiscal stimulus measures ahead to US presidential election and the pull back in dollar prompted bullion investments. Meanwhile, risk aversion with the pause in key COVID-19 vaccine trials also buoyed the safe haven appeal of the yellow metal.

Gold futures for December delivery rose $12.70, or 0.7%, to settle at $1,907.30 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold rose 0.2% to $1,895.16 per ounce.
