Copper futures end higher on Wednesday

15 Oct 2020 Evaluate

Copper futures ended higher on Wednesday due to strong demand from the world’s top metal consumer China and threat of supply disruptions in Chile too supported copper prices. However, surging corona virus cases across the globe with faded hopes for corona virus vaccine and US fiscal stimulus, capped some gains.

Copper futures for December delivery gained $0.0060 to settle at $3.0505 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 0.36% at $6,716 a ton.
