Gold futures traded lower in early trades on Monday due to some risk appetite in the market with the optimism about a US stimulus package before the presidential elections in November.
Gold futures for December delivery were down 0.2% at $1,902.90 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold was little changed at $1,900.21 per ounce.
