Physical rubber prices decline sharply on Monday

Physical rubber prices declined sharply on Monday, reacting closely to the heavy losses in the domestic and international futures.

Spot prices for RSS-4 variety declined to Rs 183/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 187/ kg, while RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 178/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 179/ kg.

In the futures market, contract of October delivery expired at Rs 180.75 compared to its previous closing of Rs 188.07, while November delivery closed at Rs 181.38 compared to its previous closing of Rs 182.49 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
