Copper futures ended higher on Monday as investors remained optimistic about US stimulus package before next month’s US presidential election. Though, surging corona virus cases in Europe and United States fuelled concerns over a sustained global economic recovery and dimmed the prospects for copper demand rebound.
Copper futures for December delivery gained $0.0185 to settle at $3.0860 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 0.59% at $ 6,779.50 a ton.
