22 Oct 2020 Evaluate
Gold futures finished higher on Wednesday, cheered up by the optimism that the US coronavirus aid package will be announced before the November 3 presidential elections kindled the inflation hedge appeal of the bullion. Further, slump in dollar to about its lowest in nearly two months also boosted the yellow metal buying.

Gold futures for December delivery rose by $14.10, or 0.7%, to settle at $1,929.50 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold jumped 1% to $1,924.73 per ounce.
