Bajaj Finance surges despite reporting 36% fall in Q2 consolidated net profit

Bajaj Finance is currently trading at Rs. 3316.65, up by 83.40 points or 2.58% from its previous closing of Rs. 3233.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 3161.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 3344.00 and Rs. 3155.00 respectively. So far 197638 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 4923.20 on 20-Feb-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1783.10 on 27-May-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 3344.00 and Rs. 3101.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 197543.19 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.12%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 32.01% and 11.55% respectively.

Bajaj Finance has reported 36.33% fall in its net profit of Rs 876.58 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2020 as against net profit of Rs 1376.67 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company marginally increased by 1.61% at Rs 5789.82 crore for Q2FY21 as compared Rs 5698.24 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported 35.94% fall in its net profit at Rs 964.88 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2020 as against net profit of Rs 1506.29 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company marginally increased by 3.17% at Rs 6523.29 crore for Q2FY21 as compared Rs 6323.10 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
