Aurobindo Pharma has signed definitive agreement to sell Natrol, a unit of Aurobindo Pharma USA, Inc, to an affiliate of New Mountain Capital to combine with Jarrow Formulas. The all-cash transaction is valued at $550 million (around Rs 4,048 crore). Subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, the transaction is expected to close by January 2021.
Aurobindo Pharma is engaged in manufacturing pharmaceutical products. It offers active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates and generic formulations like astemizole, domeperidone and omeprazole; anti-infective, oral and sterile antibiotics, pain management and osteoporosis segments.
