Gold futures settled higher on Tuesday on the safe haven investments followed by the surge in corona virus infection cases and as US consumer confidence index dipped to 100.3 in October, as against September's reading of 101.3. Additionally, a weaker dollar also lifted the buying.
Gold futures for December delivery tacked on $6.20, or 0.3%, to settle at $1,911.90 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold was up 0.4% at $1,909.58 per ounce.
