Copper futures ended higher on Tuesday after Chinese data showed profits of industrial companies grew 10.1% year on year to 646.43 billion yuan ($96.5 billion) in September. Though, concerns over surging corona virus infections globally and the uncertainty around a new US stimulus package ahead of the US presidential election, capped some gains.
Copper futures for December delivery gained $0.0040 to settle at $3.0935 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 0.25% at $6,798 a ton.
