Asian markets ended mostly higher on Friday, tracking gains on Wall Street overnight. Results from Tuesday's presidential vote were still being tabulated in a few key states, though Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden was closer to the number of electoral votes needed to win the presidency. Following a two-day meeting, the US Federal Reserve kept its benchmark interest rate unchanged and restated its pledge to use all its tools to help the US economy from the corona virus pandemic, but did not announce any new measures. Though, Chinese shares ended slightly lower after the country temporarily banned the entry of foreigners from at least 8 virus hit countries as Covid-19 pandemic cases rise in Europe and elsewhere.
