Gold futures finished higher on Monday marking gain for the third straight session as softer dollar and as the safe haven appeal of the bullion got lifted amid the resurgence of covid-19 cases and economic restrictions. Even though, optimism over positive developments around a second possible COVID-19 vaccine limited the gains.
Gold futures for December delivery rose by $1.60 or 0.08% to settled at $1887.80 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold edged higher 0.1% to $1,890.27 per ounce.
