Copper futures ended lower on Tuesday as investors remained cautious as corona virus pandemic cases continued to register new single-day highs in the Europe and United States, despite prospects of another promising Covid-19 vaccine by US drug-maker Moderna. Moderna said its corona virus vaccine appears to be 94.5 percent effective according to preliminary data.

Copper futures for December delivery lost $0.0240 to settle at $3.1980 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was down 0.56% at $7,068 a ton.
