Suzlon Group wins cumulative orders of 140 MW

Suzlon Group, the world’s fifth largest wind turbine maker, has achieved cumulative orders of approximately 140 MW over a two-month period. These cover various firm orders from Eastern Europe, France, Germany and India, secured between August 13, 2012 and October 13, 2012 which represent a strong customer-mix, covering international utilities, PSUs, large corporates and SMEs. Some of the key names include the Baidyanath Group, Rajasthan Gums, Gujarat Alkalis and Chemicals (GACL), and BredeKop Wind bvba (Belgium).

The projects include several wind farms featuring Repower’s latest 3.4M104 and 3.2M114 turbine models, with 3.4 MW and 3.2 MW of rated power respectively. Other orders feature turbines of the Suzlon S88, S82, the REpower MM92 and MM82 types.

Suzlon Group comprises of Suzlon Energy and its subsidiaries, including Repower Systems SE. Suzlon Energy is leader in wind energy in the India, which is world’s fifth largest wind energy market. Its business model has range of services that include development, manufacturing, marketing, EPC project delivery and operations and maintenance of wind turbine generators around the world.
