Asian markets ended mostly lower on Thursday, tracking drop in the Wall Street overnight as widening Covid-19 restrictions in the United States and Europe offset additional positive developments on the vaccine front. Japanese shares ended lower after Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga said Japan is at maximum alert after confirming the number of daily alert corona virus cases, but the government was not yet planning to impose more restrictions to curb the corona virus outbreak. Though, Chinese shares ended higher after its President Xi Jinping vowed to cut tariffs and expand imports of high-quality goods and services.
