Hindustan Unilever’s (HUL) parent company – Unilever is planning to introduce its mouthwash formulation in India, which, it claims, will reduce 99.9 per cent of coronavirus after 30 seconds of rinsing. The company has confirmed that preliminary lab test results show that mouthwash formulation containing CPC Technology reduces 99.9 per cent of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, after 30 seconds of rinsing.
The virus that causes COVID-19 spreads primarily through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose, which has been detected before, during, and after the acute phase of illness, as well as in asymptomatic cases.
