Coal India reports 3% rise in production in November

Coal India has reported rise in its production by 3.3% to 51.7 million tonnes (MT) in November 2020 compared to 50.0 MT of coal in November last year. The company's offtake also increased 8.0% to 51.3 MT in October from 47.5 MT in the corresponding month of the previous fiscal. The production in the first eight months of 2020-21 rose to 334.5 MT from 330.4 MT of coal produced in the April-November period of the previous fiscal.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
