18 Oct 2012 Evaluate
Regarding the disposal of Former Cabinet Secretary KM Chandrashekhar before the Joint Parliamentary Committee probing the 2G spectrum case, (Bharatiya Janata Party) BJP on Thursday is in a decision to stay away from the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on 2G scam. Chandrashekhar’s decision is made on behalf of the contentious Finance Ministry note that had laid 2G mess on Finance Minister P Chidambaram's door.

Meanwhile, BJP members in the panel remained adamant on their demand for calling PM Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister P Chidambaram as witnesses before the JPC and once again skipped the proceedings today. Six BJP members of the JPC had stayed away from the last meeting of the panel which was held on October 11 in protest, followed by  the chairman PC Chacko 's refusal to finalise the list of witnesses and on including the Prime Minister and Finance Minister in it.
