Copper futures ended higher on Wednesday, buoyed by expectations of strong demand from world’s top consumer China. Further, optimism over US stimulus deal and positive developments in Covid-19 vaccines too supported industrial metal prices.
Copper futures for March delivery gained $0.0040 to settle at $3.4890 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was down 0.28% at $7,673.00 a ton.
