Birla Corporation soars on raising Rs 150 crore through NCDs

Birla Corporation is currently trading at Rs. 763.55, up by 15.20 points or 2.03% from its previous closing of Rs.748.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 762.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 774.30 and Rs. 757.00 respectively.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs.10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 807.60 on 01-Feb-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 372.50 on 06-May-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 774.30 and Rs. 710.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5,877.05 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 62.90%, while public held 37.10%.

Birla Corporation has raised Rs 150 crore through secured unlisted redeemable Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) and allotted 1500 NCDs having face value of Rs 10,00,000 on Private Placement basis.

Birla Corporation is primarily engaged in the manufacturing of cement as its core business activity. It has significant presence in the jute goods industry as well.
