Coal India’s production, dispatch likely to get hit amid ‘Bharat Bandh’

Coal India’s production and dispatch are likely to get affected partially on December 08, 2020 as transporters have decided to observe ‘chakka jam’, pledging support to the ‘Bharat Bandh’ called by farmers over the new agriculture laws. Trade unions operating in the coal sector have not served any strike notice but have supported the farmers’ agitation and will hold protest meetings at all mining sites.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
