Copper futures ended higher on Wednesday with investors keeping a close eye on $916 billion corona virus relief package proposed by the Trump administration. Further, optimism around Covid-19 vaccines rollouts too kept the metal prices higher. Moreover, a fall in US dollar makes dollar-denominated metals more cheaper for holders of other currencies.
Copper futures for March delivery gained $0.0145 to settle at $3.5135 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 0.31% at $7,723 a ton.
