Coal India moves up on registering 77% growth in e-auction sales during April-November

Coal India is currently trading at Rs. 137.15, up by 2.30 points or 1.71% from its previous closing of Rs. 134.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 134.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 137.45 and Rs. 134.55 respectively. So far 490906 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 214.50 on 15-Jan-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 109.50 on 15-Oct-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 138.00 and Rs. 132.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 0.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 66.13%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.10% and 4.69% respectively.

Coal India (CIL) has registered a 77 percent growth in e-auction sales, under five windows, at 68.3 million tonnes (MT) during the April-November period of FY21. The upsurge in the booked or allocated quantity of coal was close to 30 MT, in absolute terms, compared to 38.6 MT booked during the same period a year ago. Indicating increased appetite from non-power consumers, exclusive auction for this sector booked 17.4 MT, which is 25.5 per cent of the total allocated quantity during the referred period.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
