AAP to contest Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2022: Arvind Kejriwal

Delhi Chief Minister (CM) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal today said that his party will contest in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh (UP) Assembly elections in 2022.

Arvind Kejriwal said if elected in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2022, AAP will form a corruption-free government in the state. The AAP has formed the government thrice in the national capital and emerged as the main opposition party in Punjab during the state assembly polls in the past eight years, he added. The Delhi CM went on to add that people from Uttar Pradesh and several organisations met him and suggested the AAP should contest the elections in the state. And he asserted that the AAP would instill honest intentions, and prove that governance is not restricted by resources.
