Copper futures ended lower on Tuesday even after weaker US dollar makes dollar-priced metals cheaper to holders of other currencies. Further, recent lock-downs on fears over new strain of corona virus added pressure on metal prices.
Copper futures for March delivery lost $0.0155 to settle at $3.5555 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 0.92% at $7,859.50 a ton.
