GIC Housing Finance trades under pressure as NHB imposes penalty of Rs 47000

GIC Housing Finance is currently trading at Rs. 118.00, down by 0.30 points or 0.25% from its previous closing of Rs. 118.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 117.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 118.10 and Rs. 117.00 respectively. So far 12739 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 175.45 on 02-Jan-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 52.10 on 25-Mar-2020.

National Housing Bank (NHB) has imposed penalty of Rs 47000 on GIC Housing Finance for delayed and Non-Submission of returns. The Company is directed to deposit the total amount of Rs 47,000 plus applicable GST at 18% of Rs 8,460 to the Bank.

GIC Housing Finance’s primary business is granting housing loans to individuals and to persons/entities engaged in construction of houses/flats for residential purposes.
