ONGC surges on planning to raise Rs 1,500 crore through NCDs

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation is currently trading at Rs. 97.90, up by 2.95 points or 3.11% from its previous closing of Rs. 94.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 98.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 99.35 and Rs. 97.55 respectively. So far 2868004 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 127.65 on 07-Jan-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 51.80 on 13-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 99.35 and Rs. 92.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 123601.24 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 60.41%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.38% and 14.21% respectively.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is planning to raise Rs 1,500 crore on private placement basis, through the issuance of 15,000 unsecured, listed, redeemable, non-cumulative, taxable, non-convertible debentures (NCDs) having face value of Rs 10,00,000 each at par. The meeting of the Committee for allotment of Securities and issue of certificates of the Board is scheduled to be held on January 11, 2021, inter-alia to consider and approve allotment of proposed NCDs.

ONGC is India’s largest government-run corporation and produces about 70% of India’s crude oil and natural gas. The corporation is the biggest public sector commercial organization in India.
