Asian markets ended mostly lower on Monday due to worries over continuing signs of economic damage from corona virus pandemic. US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has stepped up the pressure on Vice-President Mike Pence to act to remove US President Donald Trump from office over his role in last week's storming of Congress. However, hopes for more US economic aid to boost the world’s largest economy capped downside. Chinese shares declined after data showed the country's factory prices fell at the slowest pace in ten months, while ongoing Sino-US tensions also weighed. Ten WHO scientists will visit China from Thursday to investigate the origins of Covid-19, Chinese authorities said. Meanwhile, the Japanese market was closed for a holiday.
