Copper futures settled higher on Wednesday amid the prospect of trillion-dollar stimulus package in the United States, while positive developments in Covid-19 vaccine too supported copper prices. However, rising US dollar made metals more expensive for non-US investors.
Copper futures for March delivery gained $0.0115 to settle at $3.6170 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 0.42% at $8,009 a ton.
