Gold futures rebounded from previous session’s one and half year low level in early deals of Tuesday, in midst of expectations over global stimulus to jump-start the economy from the damage caused by the corona virus pandemics. Meanwhile, a firmer US currency limited the dollar denominated yellow metal as it makes the bullion costlier for other currency holders.
Gold futures for February delivery gained 0.4% to $1,836.50 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold rose 0.1% to $1,838.51 per ounce.
