Copper futures traded marginally higher on Tuesday with the prospects of recovery in demand for the industrial metals after the world’s top metal consumer China posted stronger than expected growth and solid industrial production data. Though, worries over surging virus infections in major economies capped some gains.
Copper futures for March delivery gained $0.0220 at $ 3.6240 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 0.1% at $7,979.50 a ton.
