Copper futures ended higher on Wednesday due to hopes for a swift global recovery and metals demand following optimism about a new round of US economic stimulus bills. Weaker US dollar against its major peers too boosting the appeal of dollar-denominated metals.
Copper futures for March delivery gained $0.0080 to settle at $3.6415 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 1.14% at $8,044.50 a ton.
