Asian markets ended mostly higher on Thursday amid hopes of more US fiscal stimulus measures to fight the corona virus-led economic slump in the world’s largest economy. Meanwhile, investors cheered after Joe Biden was sworn in as the new US President. Chinese shares rose amid reports that China’s three biggest telecommunication firms filed a request with the New York Stock Exchange, seeking to review their delistings. Further, Japanese shares gained as the Bank left its monetary policy unchanged and raised the growth projections.
