Gold futures finish lower for the fourth straight session on Tuesday, registering longest losing streak in a row in over eight months amid stronger dollar and as investors focusing on Federal Reserve monetary policy meet which will conclude its two day meeting later today. However, lingering tensions over untamed covid pandemics and the economic slump associated with it limited further losses.
Gold futures for February delivery fell by $4.30 or 0.2% to settle at $1850.90 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold fell 0.2% to $1,852.30 per ounce.
