Asian markets trade mostly lower in early deals on Thursday

Most of the Asian equity benchmarks are trading lower on Thursday, with the profit booking after previous sessional strong gains and on concerns over delay in further stimulus measures from US. Market sentiments got dulled with the lingering concerns over covid cases and dampened global economy. Japan’s Nikkei snapped its three day winning streak and as investors turned cautious as they digested local corporate earnings results. Among the other Asian markets, Hong Kong ,Singapore, Taiwan, China, South Korea  and Malaysia are in negative. Bucking the trend Indonesia is trading higher.

Nikkei 225 down by 304.27 points or 1.06% to 28,342.23, Hang Seng declined by 425.04 points or 1.45% to 28,882.42, Straits Times slipped by 26.65 points or 0.919% to 2,900.82, Taiwan Weighted narrowed 51.40 points or 0.33% to 15,719.92, KOSPI Index curt 57.47 points or 1.84% to 3,072.21, Shanghai Composite lower by 35.86 points or 1.02% to 3,481.45, and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI dipped by 4.00 points 0.25% to 1,578.99.

On the flip side, Jakrata Composite higher by 38.04 points or 0.63% to 6,115.79.
