06 Feb 2021 Evaluate

Copper futures settled higher on Friday as improving vaccine rollout with the prospect of further US stimulus measures kept the sentiments boosted. However, the US dollar was heading for its biggest weekly gain in three months, making dollar-denominated metals more expensive for holders of other currencies.

Copper futures for March delivery gained $0.0730 to settle at $3.6260 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up 1.14% at $7,912.50 a ton.
