Ambuja Cements gains on commencing ‘Sea trials on Bio-diesel Blends’

Ambuja Cements is currently trading at Rs. 276.00, up by 4.75 points or 1.75% from its previous closing of Rs. 271.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 272.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 278.20 and Rs. 272.05 respectively. So far 274281 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 279.55 on 02-Feb-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 136.65 on 26-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 279.55 and Rs. 242.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 54793.88 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.27%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.61% and 6.85% respectively.

In keeping with its vision in achieving Sustainability, Ambuja Cements has notched yet another first with the commencement of ‘Sea trials on Bio-diesel Blends’ by one of its fleet of captive ships, ‘Ambuja Mukund’ that was conducted at sea. Ambuja has received approvals to conduct this sea trial from the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS) and the Indian Register of Shipping (IRS), thus marking a new chapter in Indian coastal shipping.

Ambuja Cements is engaged in manufaacturing and marketing of cement and clinker for both domestic and export markets.
