09 Feb 2021 Evaluate
Gold futures finished modestly higher on Monday, as the inflation hedge appeal of the bullion got bolstered with the anticipation that the corona virus stimulus package being pushed through Congress will come out closer to US President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion than a Republican’s proposal for $600 billion.

Gold futures for April delivery up by 1.2% or $21.20 at $1,834.20 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold rose 1.1% to $1,831.28 per ounce.
